Yes Jesus Loves Me!

I just have to share this.......you know, most of us grew up knowing the song, "Jesus Loves Me."
However, I admit that the song never did much for me, until just a few days after my beautiful babies were born. I sat alone in the NICU (alone in our corner of the room that is, WITH the babies......dave wasn't there, and the nurses wee busy doing other things)
We had just found out that we would not be able to take the babies home. The parsonage had black mold, in the worst way. It would have possibly been fatal to take our newborn preemies into the home. So, there I sat, rocking Trevor, (all 3lbs 12 oz of him) looking at the IV they had hooked up to a vein in his head!!
I started to sing "Jesus Loves Me" and when I got to the part "little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong." I broke down. I didn't want the nurses to know at the time what was happening. So, I hid my face from the rest of the room. But Trevor and I rocked and I sang, and I prayed, and asked God to hold tight to my babies, and to continue to strengthen them and make them healthier as the days went on. And to help me to be the mom that I needed to be, and to be strong for them, no matter how hard of a time I was having at the time (and believe me, it was NOT pretty.....I think I would have totally lost it had it not been for those beautiful little beings)
Move ahead to 4 1/2 years later............Today, I was helping Trevor in the bathroom. His grown up, potty trained, Big Boy self.....
He was washing his hands, and drying them off, and he just sang out, out of the blue. "OH JESUS LOVES ME! OH JESUS LOVES ME! OH JESUS LOVES ME! THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO."
I don't think anymore needs to be said on this one........................ ;)

A New Name for Daddy???

For some reason, out of the blue, Abbey asked Dave "Dad, can I call you poop?"
All I can say to that is "I'm Rolling on the Floor Laughing."
Of course, he said "no" he'd prefer her not to. ha ha

Christmas!!!

Hey all. Sorry it's been a while. Especially, if you've been here looking for updates. ;)
Life has been extremely CRAZY. But Good.
It's the day after Christmas, and the kids are playing with all of their new toys. I've decided we already need a new cartridge for Kacey the Kinderbot!! ha ha, I'm getting tired of hearing the same thing over and over already!!
It was a good day. No, a great day. We got up (dave woke us up;) and opened presents, then went to church. I sang this morning, and while I did the trio decided they needed to be on stage too. (they are usually in the toddlers room, or this would probably happen more often;)
Anyway, while I was waiting for the song to start (we had a "newbie" running the sound) Dylan told everyone Merry Christmas, and that it was "Happy Birthday to Jesus."
Abbey came up with her new microphone (one of those cheapy echo things) and then Trevor. I noticed everyone looking really "awed" while I sang, but also noticed that it wasn't me they were looking at! ha ha
I saw out of the corner of my eye, and then was told after, that they all went over to the manger with baby Jesus, that was on the stage, and just knelt in front of it looking at the baby. Nobody touched him, or moved him, they just knelt there and looked at him. WOW. Afterward, when Wade got up to lead another song, he said "If you weren't even just a little bit touched by that, then something is wrong." Man, I'm proud of my babies!!!
We had the 'non-traditional' dinner of spaghetti and my homemade meatballs for lunch (at daddys request) and then all took a much needed nap.
The electricity went out tonight while the kids were playing with their new toys. So, we played Chutes and Ladders by candle light/flashlight and I taught the kids how to use their new walkie talkies. That was a hoot. ha ha It was a good day.

Caroling

Tonight we went caroling. I invited the different churches in town to come with us. Several from the Methodist church came, and a couple of my friends from the Lutheran church came. That along with the crowd from our church, we had a really great group. It was SO much fun. We covered a lot of territory, and got really cold, but it was fun!! The Trio stuck it out for most of the trip, but started to get really tired after the Care Center. So, I called Wade to come get them, and he and Dave came and picked up them and anyone else ready to quit. The rest of us trudged on to the trailer park.
We headed back then to get some hot chocolate or coffee and some cookies and goodies. It was a great time. I don't know why they haven't invited the other churches in the past, but I'm glad we did. I will continue to do so in the future. Everyone had so much fun.

Sickies!!! And a few Funnies!!!

Well, we woke up with a houseful of sickies today. They've been getting up SO early, and then are so tired a couple of hours later. So, knowing that everyone isn't feeling that great anyway, I tried to get them to sleep in a little. No luck. But as we were laying there, getting ready to get up (me and Abbey went in and laid on the boys floor) Dylan "ralphed" all over his bed.
We got up, and I was getting him cleaned up, and getting his bedding off. The whole time, Abbey kept saying "mom" and pointing to her mouth. I kept asking her "are you going to throw up?" and she'd tell me no! So, I kept doing what I was doing. Then I asked "did it make you sick to see Dylan throw up?" and she gagged.
Well, it didn't take long, and she went into the bathroom to throw up too!! Then Dylan again. Trevor in the meantime, had the big D.
About 10:30 we took a short nap. About an hour. Dave went to the doctor, and he has a major inner ear infection. SOOOO needless to say, we cancelled Hanging of the Greens tonight. I'm really bummed. BUT there are a lot of other people that are sick, or unable to make it for some reason. So, Sunday night, we are just all going to get together at the church to decorate.
ANYWAY, you know Abbey is sick, when she doesn't even want to eat supper. All she wanted to do was lay on the couch with a blanket, and watch a movie. I had to get her robe for her, because she kept complaining that she was cold. We all just chilled for a while. I told Abbey, "I need to take your temperature because I think you might have a fever." she said "I KNOW I have a fever." LOL But, actually, she didn't! WOOHOO
Another time, Trevor was once again, sitting on the potty. Sometimes he would feel like he had to go potty, and then nothing would happen. One of those times, I went in, andhe was just sitting there, and had his hand under him (on his bottom) I said "come on honey, don't just sit there if you don't need to go." and he told me "I'm just tickling my butt!" (Rolling on the Floor Laughing)
Later, I was rubbing Abbey and Dylan's backs, while in the rocking chair watching a Christmas video. I stopped rubbing for a minute, because my hands were tired. Dylan said "rub my back." and I'd rub.............then I'dstop. This happened a couple of times. Finally, about the third time, he said to me "Jesus wants you to rub my back."
WELL, if Jesus wants me to, who am I to not do it? LOL

I rubbed them both until 7pm, and we ALL five went to bed. So, here I am typing......gonna go to bed!!

One of the funniest sites ever...........

Sarah was over this evening. We were getting ready to go to Hosanna so that I could practice with Tim, Mark and Denver, and see if it would work with me being part of their quartet. (which, I'm very flattered that they wanted me by the way)
Anyway, Sarah and I were in the kitchen talking, and getting ready to go. I still had to get Abbey dressed to go. Abbey started to cry, and fuss at the boys. I didn't run right there, cuz it was more like a "upset at the boys" cry, than a "hurt" cry. I walked into the living room, and there stands Abbey with just a shirt on, nothing else, bawling her head off and saying "Trevor took my pants!!!" Sure enough, he did!! Sarah and I looked at each other, and both had a hard time not busting out laughing, because she's standing there totally pantsless, and crying about it, instead of getting her pants and putting them on.

Daddy's Birthday

The kids went with me, and we bought daddy some birthday presents. A pair of sweat pants, a t-shirt that says "I let my mind wander, and it never came back." and a sweat jacket to match the pants.
I made a cake, and we carried it to daddy and sang happy birthday. He loved his gifts. And the trio loved eating the cake!!!

Stinky Stench!

Ok, this is so crude, but so "stinkin" funny. This morning, Trevor had some MAJOR bad gas. Dylan was sitting on my lap, and Trevor came quietly up beside the chair, and was just standing there watching Ploar Express with us.
All of a sudden, I smell something. I ask, "who did that?" and look to see that Trevor has a "I did" look on his face.
So, I say "Trevor!! Did you fart?" and he grinned and said yeah, but had a look on his face like he was afraid he did more than that.
I asked "Trevor, you didn't poop your pants did you?" And he paused and then said "Let me check" and pulled his pants down.,!!!!!
ha ha ha ha ha ha I laughed right out loud, SO hard. KIDS!!!

Talking to Jesus

Last night, Dave went over John 3:16 with the kids before bed. Which he has done in the past, but not for a while. Well, after they got done saying it last night, and everyone was in bed. Dave was "camping" in the boys room with them, and in the quiet dark, Dave heard Trevor say "Jesus, Do you love me?"

Broke My Heart

Oh, my heart just broke today. I was leaving just to run an errand, and coming right back. Dylan is ALWAYS wanting to go with me. And it seems I've gone to alot of meetings and things lately, where they can't go with me. I told him "no, next time." He said to me as he cried and walked into his room"I keep asking and asking, and you always keep saying, next time."
So, what did I do? I got that boy's coat and socks and shoes, and he and I ran errands together. Tomorrow night is Abbey's turn. (to the Jam Session) and then Monday, I'll find a reason to take Trevor somewhere.
Man, I love these guys.

Pink........

Oh, in our house we love pink..............most of the time. Right now, we don't. The boys both have pink eye!!
UGH, poor baby's. Dylan is the worst. Both his little eyes looked sooooo bad. I wanted to take a pic, but didn't have a card in my digital,or film for my 35mm. GGGggrrrr. Poor little guy. I took them to the dr.,because Trevor was also saying that he didn't feel good. Actually, he kept saying "mommy, Trevor doesn't feel good."

When the dr. looked at them, she could see that Trevor was starting to get it also, so she wrote them both a perscription, and even one for Abbey in case she gets it. Oh, I hope not. They HATE the eye drops. The poor little guys.

They BEG me not to do it,and it just tears me up! Trevor was having an especially hard time tonight. Was crying over EVERYTHING. Then while I was giving Dylan Eyedrops, he (Trevor) walked in and stood beside me, waiting his turn to get the drops, but crying and asking me not to doit the whole time. It was pitiful! :( He squints up his little eyes, and gets the biggest boo boo lip.

Poor Dylan tells me "I'm angy! Don't do any more eye drops."

They do look better now though. So, hopefully, the will feel better soon.

Port A Potty's

The kids went with me to a meeting today at another church.
On the way there, Trevor said "mom, there's a stench!"
I wasn't sure what he was talking about until the way back, and he said it again. That's when I saw a port a potty on the side of the road at a work site. LOL
So, every time we pass that, they all say "there's Stenchy!!"

Daddy Dave, and Mommy Julie....

For some reason, Dylan has been calling Dave, "daddy Dave." I'm leary of this for one major reason. If people that don't know us hear that, they are going to wonder "how many daddy's does the kid have?"
So, I started thinking about why he might be doing this,so that I at least would have something to say when people hear him say this. I finally figured out that it was probably the fact that he hears people call Dave "Pastor Dave" all of the time, and it's logical to him to call him"Daddy Dave."
Well, tonight he blew that out of the water, by calling me "mommy Julie."
I don't know what to do with that kid!! ha ha ha

Ask Jesus for More Leaves.....

Ok, you're probably sick of the Leaf thing here, but it was all very important to us!!! You've gotta understand, we had SO much fun!!!
Today, they were looking out the window again, and said something again about the leaves. Dylan said "mom, ask Jesus for more!"
So, I looked skyward, and said "Jesus, could we please have more leaves to play in?" Then I looked back toward the kids......Abbey said "now, say thank you!"

Big Bad Wind......

Well, we were disturbed last night by some terrible winds. I wanted to cry, knowing that our leaves were going to be gone by morning.
Sure enough, they were pretty much all gone. The kids looked out the window, and that's the first thing they noticed. Dylan said "Mom!!! Our leaves are all gone!!! That's not very nice!!!"
Indeed, it wasn't very nice. :(

Playing in the Leaves!!!

Wow, did we have fun in the leaves. We've played some in them the last couple of days, but especially today.
After we ate breakfast at the church, we went out to play in the thousands of golden leaves in our front yard. We raked, piled, jumped, threw and buried....
We made a "house" out of the leaves, but raking out "rooms" and "hallways" like my mom used to do for me and Jamie when we were little. Then of course, we jumped in them.....We gathered them up and chased each other, and threw them, we buried each other in them (this is just me and the kids by the way, I was acting like a total child heehee). I even let them bury me, and they thought that was wonderful.....I have a GREAT picture of them, I also need to get put on here. I know I know, I'm bad about that, but I really will put halloween and leaf pics on here within the next week. Ok?
We played hide and go seek too. It was such a great day out. Weather wise, and other wise. One car with an older woman, and what appeared to maybe be her daughter stopped just to watch us play. Our neighbor from across the street came over to watch and just talk for a minute. We were the talk of the town, but we sure did have fun!

Trick or Treat

Trick or Treat was SO much fun! I think I was excited as the kids were. Abbey made the prettiest "Toothberry" I've ever seen. I can't wait to get some pictures on here. She wore her white dress from their Dedication, (which has three little pink roses at the top and sleeves) pink tights, a silver princess necklace, a princess ring, a wand, cute little silver and pink princess slippers, and pink wings with little pink roses on it. I got some new makeup at the Dollar Tree, and did her up good. She looked so gorgeous.
Trevor was a mighty Pirate!!! AAArrrrrgggg!!! He wore black jeans, Abbeys black boots, a red button down shirt, a rope for a belt, with a "booty bag" hanging from it with marbles in it. A sword stuck in his "belt" a pirate hat, an eye patch, and a stick on earring. I did him up with some of the makeup.......I gave him beard!! He looked SO cute.
Dylan was a Cowboy/Sherriff. I so wanted to call him "Marshall Dylan" heehee
He had on a brown vest with a sherriff badge, a cowboy hat, some handcuffs, and I gave him a mustache and a dirty face, with makeup. He looked SO stinkin cute! A deputy sherriff was going around handing out suckers from his car and when he saw Dylan said "well, now, I need to take care of you!" LOL

We saw a lot more people that we know in town this year compared to last year. It's amazing what a difference a year has made. We went to Tim Tiderman's house and when the kids went up to get candy he said to Dylan, "You know, your mommy sings like an angel!" And Dylan said as he was looking at candy "My Mommy's Not An Angel!!!"
Sheesh!!! Out of the mouths of babes??? ha ha

Brenda went with us, and we were both hurting SO bad by the time it was over. It had also rained on us a few times, the last time being the worst. During that rain, Dylan said "mom, can we go home?" Then when we cut down another road before going home to get a few more houses, he said "We lost our home!"
And then a little bit later "We can't find our home!" In this im so sad voice. Brenda and I were cracking up.

I'll get some pics on here as soon as I can.

KoolAid

Abbey doesn't usually like drinks that other kids like. The juices and such. Except Orange juice.
I made strawberry KoolAid, and she didn't even want that (and it's PINK) but daddy without thinking gave her some for supper. She said "I don't want this" but that was the end of it, and we never gave her anything else, just forgot, and so did she.
At bed time, she asked for a drink, so I went and got her a glass of water. She drank it, then told me "I really don't like KoolAid. Sometimes I just want milk or water." Very matter of factly.
I said "I know honey, you just have to remind us sometimes, ok?"
LOL,what a grown up statement. Instead of fussing about it (which believe me, they all do that enough) but she just decided she needed to tell me that, and hopefully, not be asked if she wanted KoolAid anymore, cuz she REALLY doens't like it!!!

Trevor's turn at story telling

Ok, so Trevor isn't the little preacher that Dylan is yet. heehee
Trevor decided that he wanted to tell a story too.......

"One day Jesus was wearing His pajamas, and he went and picked berries."

The End

Creation Story, as Told By Dylan

Today Dylan told Dave "Dad, i want to tell you a story." so Dave said "ok, go ahead. The story went like this..................

One Day, Jesus said "uh oh..........and then he saw the sky, and he smiled, and then he saw the stars, and he smiled, and the he saw T Rex, and he was happy. The End"

There's not much more I can say.................................

Feelin the Love!

They've all three been on this "I love you" kick. We say it all of the time anyway, but I hear Trevor tell Dylan, Dylan tell Abbey, Abbey tell Trevor and so on all of the time now.
Then they'll say "Mom, I love you, do you love me?" And I say "Yes, very much!" and they smile and come give me a big hug.
Too cute!

I'm Smiling at you.......

That's what Abbey said to me tonight. Let me explain. We went with Brenda to a Harvest Party type thing at the Dayspring church. They had tons of kids games, blow up toys, face painting, food, and candy for the kids. They also had a HUGE bonfire. It was great fun. I carried the boys in from the van, they were out like lights, and went straight to bed.
Abbey wasn't asleep, and never is easy to get to sleep.
She called for me after she was in bed, like usual, and I went to tell her "You have GOT to go to sleep." then she said to me "mom, I was just sitting here smiling at you over the fun we had tonight."
WOW, what am I supposed to do with that. So, I said ok, good, I'm glad we all had fun. It was fun. But now you need to sleep, and hugged her. Then I hear "Mom, you're gonna break me." Guess I hugged a little too hard that time. :)

You're Fired!

Ok, I don't think that my sons have ever seen the Apprentice, so I'm not sure where this came from. But today, Trevor got mad at me for some reason, and told me "You're fired mom!"
Then Dave said both boys had told him that too! Hmmmm

A "false limp"

Today the kiddos went with me to a Dr's appt. Jill went with us, so she watched them for me while I saw the dr. Afterwards, we went and got "chicken-donalds" and then to the grocery store.
On our way out of the store, I was looking around to make sure all of my "ducklings" were with me, and saw that Dylan was limping!! I asked "Dylan, why are you limping honey? Why are you walking that way?"
He said "I not limping, I just farting."
ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing).

I Need A Cane!

LOL, Tonight, we had a play time with the GRAC4ME (grand rapids arts council 4 me - preschoolers) activity.
When we got home, everyone was so wound up. They all wanted a cookie though, and something to drink.
So they all had to sit and I gave them a snack.
Afterward, here comes Dylan, saying "I Need A Cane!!!"
And I said "what? you need a cane?" And he doubled over, and held his tummy, and said "yes, I need a cane, I don't feel good." As he walked all over looking for one.
LOL, SO, I figured it out. Sometimes, I have to walk with a cane around the house because my back and hips hurt so bad. My answer to them when they ask why, is that I just don't feel very good. SO, he thought, since he didn't feel very good (too full) that he needed to walk with a cane.

Spuuk-Key

It's been awhile since I've posted. There are several things I want to put in here, but can't remember them all right this moment. But one REALLY cute thing lately is with Dylan. Of course, we're seeing Halloween stuff everywhere, and we say it's Spookey.
Well, he says spookey, in such a CUTE and FUNNY way. It' more like Spuu-Key.
"mom! that's spuukey!"
Cracks me up every single time.
Oh, the other thing is Abbey. Everything is "last year" or "yesterday" and so on.
She'll say something to me about something we did maybe a week ago, and say "remember when we did that last this morning mom?"
Or "can we paint like Last year?" when we just painted two days ago.
We have to work on that. ha ha

May I Can??

Abbey is constantly asking for Gum. Sometimes, even demands it. So we've been working on that too.
So, the other day I told her to say "Mother, May I please have some gum?"
Just being kinda silly, but also tired of her demanding it.
So she says this;" Mother, May I can have some gum?"
LOL, how could I not after that?

Little Brains

The trio is very interested in their Brains lately. They've been asking alot of questions about them. Dylan says it's "sticky and yucky."
They've all asked me where their brains are, or if they have brains, etc.
Well, today Abbey and I went to a friends house, since her dance class was canceled. She played with my friends little girl, Michaela. After we left, she was talking about her "play date" and kept calling her friend Kayla. I corrected her, and she told me "I'll say it later, it's too big for my little brain." ROFL

Haircuts!!

ok, wow, well~ on Saturday I cut the boys' hair, and decided to cut Abbey's too. It was starting to look kinda scraggly. I cut it a little longer than shoulder length, and tapered it. It looked SOOOOOOO cute. I just couldn't get over it!
Tonight however,......UGH, the boys got ahold of the hair scissors. And, well, sissy's hair no longer looks SOOOOOOOO cute.
I just wanted to cry! I wasn't sure if I had wanted to cut it in the first place, but then was really happy with it. But now! It's gonna have to be even shorter. And she's in Hill's wedding in a couple of months! I'm gonna have to take her somewhere to get it fixed. I'll put a picture of it on here when I get them developed. wwwwwaaaaaahhhhhhh

The Craziest DAY

Ok, the trio has all had a cough. I've been giving them a new cough medicine that the dr. suggested. BAD CHOICE. I think it made them crazy!!!!! I'm just gonna list the sins......ready for this???

The boys........
A. tore their room apart like never before
B. knocked over the HUGE dollhouse in Abbey's room........if you haven't seen it before, ask me about it. I don't know HOW they did that.
C. Got a sack of onions that I had bought, and some scissors, and a knife (all while I sat in the living room, They are SOOOO sneaky) took them to Abbey's room, and cut the bag open, and was trying to cut open the onions.
I knew something was up when Trevor out of nowhere said "sshhh just stay right there mom, it's alright." hmmm, funny, since I never asked him "what's happening"
D. The boys got naked in the backyard, and sat in the turtle top (the top of one of those turtle sandboxes) that was filled with rain water, AND Dylan found a straw from a previous summertime juice box, and was sucking in water, and spitting it everywhere, including his brother.
D. Dylan hid under the table...............with a bottle of Parmesan cheese, and dumped half of it out all over the floor for no apparent reason.
E. and last but not least - They jumped on their beds SO much, (even though I constantly got after them to stop) that Dylans crashed to the floor..............

CALGONE......TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mom or Julie??

The other night, I forgot to put this in, but when we were downtown Abbey asked me "hey mom? Can I call you Julie?"
I said "no, you can call me mom or mommy."
She said "oh, ok"

Does Jesus Like Pink????

LOL, well, this weekend, me and the kids went downtown for the bike parade. We actually took the wagon, and decorated it and wheeled down the road in the parade. Then we played at the park, got something to drink and a snack, walked along the towpath, and saw the tents with "Lewis and Clark" homemade soap making, spinning from an Angora Rabbit and Johnny Appleseed.
Later on, while getting ready for bed, Abbey asked Dave "Daddy, is Jesus a boy or a girl??" and Dave answered "well, he's a boy." She thought about that and then asked "well, does He still like pink?" LOL, Dave told her he was pretty sure Jesus likes pink!
Dylan was running around with a peice of cloth tied around his neck (loosely that is) and acting like a superhero. Dave said "Dylan, are you a superhero?" Dylan said "No, I just a boy in a blanket daddy."
UGH, I love them so much my heart aches. I had to go kiss them all after they were asleep last night, cuz I watched too much Lifetime TV! rrraaahhh
Everyone was either dying and leaving their kids motherless, or they had a sick child around the age of my kids. I've sworn off Lifetime movies. I went in their rooms and kissed them and whispered "I Love You." The boys both whispered back in their sleep "I wuv u." aaaaaahhhhhh

Evil Swings, Whizzing, and School

I'll start with the last one and work my way back. We started school yesterday. Today, we had such a good day. We worked on shapes, the number 1, we painted with blue, yellow and red, and just colored and had a story. Dylan especially did really well with his shapes. They all got them, but he seemed to get them really quick. I would draw one on the chalk board, then ask them where it was on their paper, and he pointed the right one out really quickly every time. They loved painting too. We're all enjoying school.
Ok, this is kinda a Dylan day. LOL, whizzing.......he said "mom, I have to pee." and I said "you gotta take a whizz?" I don't know where that came from, except that it was a word from my childhood growing up with 5 brothers!!
He just kinda looked at me funny. I said, ok, let's go to the potty so you can take a whizz!! He said "yeah, whizz"
When he finished, and was washing his hands, I said "you're such a good whizzer!! and he said "Mom! I not a Whizzer!!!" It just all struck me so funny.
Ok, the evil swing. Before dinner, me and the boys took showers. (I just wanted one, so they thought that was a cool idea too, and got in.) We all got clean clothes on, were feeling good, and me and the kids got in the van to go downtown to park, and then go for a walk along the river. We were having such good time. We picked up rocks, and leaves, andfound some feathers.
Dylan said it was the birds tail. He did this one other time, and shouted to a bird to"come back and get your tail!!!" LOL
We went and sat on one of the big swings at the river and was watching the birds and cranes. Those stupid swings need to have another bar in the back. Dylan fell right through. I picked him up and brushed him off, but didn'tnotice until a couple of minutes later, that he had a big ole lump on his head, and it was bleeding. We went back home, and put some ice on it. He held the ice on there like a good boy for a long time. He was back to running and yelling and playing in an hour or so. He told his brother "no, don't touch. Mom will show you." It was funny. He wanted to show it off, but not at his expense. Wanted to make sure I was the only one that touched it. I told them we'd go back tomorrow and walk again. I'm going to make a call and complain. I think another board should be put on the back. I was always afraid of that happening, and now it did!
Tomorrow is another day.................In the life of TAD. :)

A Quick Cure to Just about ANYTHING

Mommy wasn't feeling too well tonight. The boys were "taking care of me."
Dylan was rubbing my hair, and Trevor went to get the "dr's cart."
I was laying on the couch. Out of nowhere, here comes Trevor with his little bottle of Grape KoolAid. He said "here mommy, this will make you better," and poured it toward my mouth. I didn't know it was coming, so got Grape KoolAid all over my face and in my ear.
I got him to turn it back upright, and sat up. Then he wanted to give me a drink again. So I let him. But he kept it in my mouth, and I couldn't swallow!! He finally took it out of my mouth, but forgot to turn it upright, and I got pop up my nose along with a mouthful. Needless to say, I spit grape KoolAid all over, and announced "Ok, I'm cured!! Thanks boys!!" LOL
Grape KoolAid up your nose and in your ear will cure you of just about anything REAL Fast!!!

T-Rex

Trevor showed me tonight how T-Rex runs. He scrunched his arms up, and ran bringing his legs up as high as he could while he ran. I laughed right out loud. So of course, he had to keep doing it. Man, I love my kids.

The Fair

We went to the fair tonight. What fun! We went with Wade and Jill and Gracie. We splurged on tickets, and the boys rode some rides, and the ferris wheel with their daddy. (Abbey was too chicken, and didn't want to ride, just watch) heehee
So, the boys got to ride several times. On their favorite ride, the "school bus" we got a free ride. The guy said he'd give us another ride if we would buy him a pop. So we did, and the boys got to ride for free another time.
They were so cute. LOVING Every moment of it.
We watched the horse show. The boys stood on the fence like little farm boys and watched for the longest time. Although, at one of the horse shows, they were more interested in the pile of poop!! ha ha
Abbey was sort of afraid of everything at first, but got used to it all, and liked looking at the chickens. Especially since a couple of them had laid eggs. That was neat to see.
Dylan "cock-a-doodle-dooed" all over the Cow building after that. LOL
We watched some Cloggers, and the three of them danced up a storm. Dylan tried to get on stage, and was almost on when I caught him!! Trevor jumped out in the middle of everyone and did this funky disco move! And Abigail was just all over the place. It was really fun.
It just started, so we might go another night, and see more with the horses. Mommy, and kids really liked that part.

Birthday Party Fun

Our neighbors had a party tonight. Carol, had a surprise party for her husband Wes, and we all went. There were lots of kids there, and the trio had a BLAST and were soooooo dirty when we got home. LOL, but it was a very good dirty.
We met some new good friends. One was a couple that lives just down the street. We really enjoyed talking. And also, One of Wes's best friends from HS, he and his wife also homeschool, so we talked for quite a while. I really enjoyed myself. We all did. It was a great time.

The Best Mommy..........

Awwww, my mothers heart is swollen with love. Tonight putting the kids to bed, they asked for one of their favorite things. A drink of milk. As usual, I told them that once everyone was settled in bed, I would get them a drink, after we prayed, kissed and hugged.
I got the milk and delivered as promised, and Dylan said "mom, you're the best Mommy!""
What more can I say???

Trevor the Big Brother.....

As you know from the previous post, Abbey was stung. Now she's afraid of every flying bug that there is, and doesn't want to go in the back yard. Well, she was screaming and throwing a fit about going out back, so Trevor said "I'm the Big Brother! Big Trevor will take care of you!!"
Didn't change her mind any, but it was cute and chivalrous none the less.

Our First Bee Sting

We had our first bee sting today. :( sniff sniff
The trio were playing outside, and I heard Abbey screaming bloody murder, while Trevor kept shouting over and over "BUG BUG BUG BUG BUG"
She was terrified, and it hurt!! Poor baby.
Everyone had to come in, and sissy had to be babied for a little bit.
Tonight was the Gospel Jam at the Lutheran church. Mommy's time. I love going. I so enjoy it. I think Trevor will be my singer. He loves to sing. I think I'll take them one at a time with me to some of the Jam sessions.

A Sweecet

Tonight, as normal, Abbey was trying to stall going to bed. She whispered to me "mommy, come here! I have a present for you!" I asked her "what is it?"
She put her hand up to her mouth and whispered to me "It's a Sweetcet!"
LOL
Dylan had a problem with HIS shorts today. They were a little big. He pulled at them all day. Then while we were outside, he got mad about something, and screamed, and his pants fell down to his feet. I had to laugh.
Trevor is such a lovey dovey lately. He's constantly just telling me out of the blue "mom, I love you."
Does my heart good. They all do my heart so much good. They're so beautiful.

Books, Back Rubs, and Balloons

We've been having such a good time with books lately. I bought a bunch of Child Craft books, and Child Encyclopedias, and they love for me to just sit and go through every picture with them, and tell them what the picture is.
Almost every morning when I go to the boys room, the are looking at the Child Encyclopedias, and say "mom, come here come here! and see this!" and shows me pictures in these books.
Trevor is constantly giving me back rubs. It's so sweet. It started the other night, when I was just sitting at the table talking with Dave. Trevor came up and just started rubbing my back, and said "how's that mom?"
We had some balloons left over from Bible School, here at the house. Yesterday, it was pretty cool outside, so we had the windows open, and the exhaust fan on. One of the boys came out and immediately said "I love you mom" so I knew something must have happened. LOL
I went down the hall to where they had been playing, and the fan had sucked the balloon to the ceiling. So, I blew up more balloons, and we kept throwing them up there, then turning off the fan and they'd all fall, then back on again, and so on. How fun!!! ha ha

VBS continued with PICS

Hey all. We just finished up our last night of Bible School. They did SO well.
It was set up like a HOME, and the kids went to different classes each night and had a different teacher depending on the room they went to. Different, but fun.
Well, I had my kids in my class last night. 4 and 5 year olds. I was Dreading it!!! I was in the "kitchen" and we baked bread in my class, among other things. I thought it would just be crazy!! But we had a blast!! If we have it again next year, and have the same ages all week long, I think I will even request that age. They had so much fun, and payed attention, and are so easy to please! I guess it was easier for me to relate too since I have my three, but it was just a lot of fun.
Here are some pictures of them at VBS this week!! I'll be getting more of them developed today, so I'll put more on if I get some good ones!! (ok, I'm not sure if the pics came through, so if they're not here, I'll be back to get them on)

Handsome Socks

Just had to throw this one in. Last night, Abbey wanted socks when she went to bed. I went and got her some white crew socks of the boys'. She said "I thought you would get me pretty pink socks"and I told her that I didn't know where any where right now, and that these would have to do. She said "these are boys socks? and they're not pretty?" I said "no, but they're cute." and she said "No, they're handsome!"
LOL

VBS, Prayer, and Where God lives.......

well, we started VBS yesterday evening, it's the first for the trio. They are LOVING it.
I've been on my feet so much lately, and in hot weather, that for some reason, my one ankle is really swollen and sore.
Tonight after VBS the boys were both very concerned when I showed them my "FAT" ankle. I asked them "will you pray for me" and they said "yes" and took me very literally, and both closed their eyes right there at the table (eating a snack) and I heard things like this "Jesus, Mommy, Hurt, Bad,,, Jesus, Help Mommy, Fat Ankle" and in between all of that some mumblings. then a final "amen" by Trevor, and Dylan followed with his own Amen. I want to tell the world, that that was the Sweetest Prayer I've ever heard in my life. My boys. My four year old boys, prayed for me right then and there, and asked Jesus to make my hurt, fat ankle to feel better. WOW. Amazing.
THEN, as I was getting Abbey ready for bed, I asked her what she learned at Bible School tonight. And she said "That God lives in our heart" Double WOW.
No offense to anyone, but I do believe I have the best kids in the whole world. :)

I'm Back

Wow, I had a hard time getting back into my blog!!! Finally,I can give some more updates. I feel like I've missed journaling so much of their little lives.
Tonight was their first night ever of Vacation Bible School. They had sooooo much fun.
Ok, one of the cutest things that Trevor has been doing, is calling Abbey "Abs."
He'll say "I'll get it for you Abs" and things like that. It cracks me up!!
Dylan is doing SO good at the Potty thing. He just marches in there like a little man, puts the little potty seat on the toilet, gets his own pants down, goes potty, flushes, pulls his pants up, and goes to the sink to wash all on his own. He's doing SO good.
Abbey is such a little grown up. She did such a good job in Alicia's wedding being the flower girl. She was sooooo tired and so hot, but just stayed so pleasant. I'll have to post some current pics.

Parade

Hey all. We were in the town's parade today for Rapid Rally Days. The kids each got to carry a balloon. They had a blast. They're still talking about how we had to walk around Horse Poop in the road. What a highlight! LOL
Lynn and the kids were here all week, and we all had so much fun.
Abbey tried on her dress again tonight for Alicia's wedding. She looks SO pretty in it. She'll be a little heartbreaker. heehee

Pee in the Grass

Ok, I don't think I wrote about this yet. If I did, sorry.
Not long ago, we went swimming, and Abbey had to pee, but didn't want to go into the potty at the pool. So, I took her out to the grass, and told her to just pee in the grass. She wouldn't do it.
Then, we went to Lima to meet my friend Heather and her triplets, and on the way home Abbey REALLY had to go. SO, I pulled off of the expressway, and got out the portable potty.
I set it up in the grass on the side of the road, and she went potty.
A month or so later, Lynn was here with here kids, and we all went to dinner at a restaurant downtown.
All of a sudden, Abbey blurts out. "Mom! Can I pee in the Grass?"
I said "Abbey, shhhh. We'll go to the potty." she said "no, I want to pee in the GRASS!"
I got her away from the table, and unfortunately, all the way back through the restaurant to the restroom, she kept repeating"But I want to pee in the Grass!!!!"
Talk about embarrassing. People had to be wondering what I do with that child!!! ha ha

My Babies are FOUR!!!

What a day! My babies turned 4 today. We had a very busy, but very fun day. They were given some really nice presents from friends and family today.
We had a small party with friends from church and a couple of neighbors. We had sloppy joes, baked beans, meatballs, chips and of course, cake. Lynn made a GREAT Scooby Doo Cake. My freind Brenda pretty much did all the cooking. I don't know what I would have done today without the two of them. Especially since we had a garage sale going on at the same time!!! AAAAHHH ha ha
Brenda's Son and Girlfriend pretty much handled that for us though.
Tomorrow, in the morning Abbey has dance class, then we have to be at the middle school at 10:30 because the trio was chosen to carry balloons in the parade to escort Clifford the Big Red Dog. YIPPEEE......It should be a really fun day.
I'll let you know more after it's over!!!
Love you all

UNBELIEVABLE

Today we went to the zoo. It started out OK, not GREAT but OK.....I had a dr's appt. first, which was not the most pleasant moment. Then I was really hurting today, and SO tired. I was ready at one point, to just put the kids back in the car and go home. However, Lynn insisted pretty soon, that we all sit down, and she would go get us some lunch. So, between that rest, meal and some Darvocet, I started to feel much better.
So, on we went, and the day got better.
THEN, we went to see the Hippos. The kids were loving it. The hippos didn't let us down, they did in fact, poop in front of us as expected and anticipated. ha ha ha ha ha
As we were getting ready to leave the hippos to go see the elephants, Dylan was walking behind me, and going to our wagon. I turned to make sure he was still with me, and this lady with a baby in a carriage, whipped around at him and said "don't punch" as she proceeded to hit my son@!!!!##@%#$%@#%^@$%^@$ Let me tell you. I was a total momma bear. I said "Excuse Me. What do you think you're doing?" and she said "he was hitting the baby"
I said 'first of all, I doubt that, and second of all IF he did, you say something to me, his mother, you do NOT EVER hit my child!"
After I got the kids in the wagon, and saw that she had stepped in front of us as if to purposely be in our way, we ran over the backs of her feet!!! ha ha
I know that was pretty petty, but I'm thinking she got off good.
NOW, the story continues. I thought MAYBE Dylan did touch the baby, because that's what little boys do..They touch things. And Dylan seems to always be doing that. We neared the elephants, and I turned to talk to Lynn about it all,and say how absolutely ticked off I was. Another lady heard us, and said "I heard and saw it all, and your son NEVER EVER touched that baby."
OH, was I fuming then. She said he ran his finger along the carriage as he walked by, and never once touched that baby.
OH, did I want to go back in there, but I knew I would not be able to control myself. I was already boiling. This 'witness' told me she would have hit her had she been me. I really wish I would have.
If I had to do it over, I would have had someone watch her, and keep her there while I went to get security to kick her out of the zoo or something. How dare she?? RRRRRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
I pulled Dylan aside and told him that lady should NEVER have hit him, and that he's a very good boy, and mommy yelled at that lady, and she wont hit him again, cuz that wasn't nice. He just smiled and said "ok mommy."

Mommy's Little Helper...........

Trevor is LOVING to help with things. Today I went to empty the dishwasher, and that little guy came along and emtied it pretty much all himself. He just handed me things, and I put them away. It was so cute. Then he stood there and waited till I filled it again, told me to put soap in ,and then he shut the door, and helped me turn it on. I was SO proud of him.

Fireworks

We went tonight to see fireworks. The kids don't really remember seeing them before, and we haven't gone the last 2 years, so this was really their "first" time. Abbey was kind of scared, and wanted to go to the van at first, but ended up enjoying it.
Dylan kept saying something about the "Fire Trucks are coming" and I couldn't figure that out for a while, then realized that he was calling "fireworks" - "firetrucks" ha ha ha
Trevor just thought the whole thing was great, and watched pretty much in silence, and in Awe!!! We had a good time. I'll post pics when I get some developed.
Lynn and the kids are here right now, and we are all having such a GREAT time together. The kids all get along so well. Tomorrow night, I am taking Lynn, as part of her Birthday Present, to eat at Ciaos. Dave is going to be brave, and watch all FIVE kids!!! woohoo!!! I think they'll all do well though.

Lot's of Pic's

Yesterday, when I told Abbey it was time to come inside she said "but I want to go out" and I said "no" and she said "but mom, I NEEEEED to go outside!!!" LOL
I got a bunch of pictures back on Saturday: Easter, mom and dad, the kids and their cousins, the zoo.....how fun to look at them all.
This first picture is my Ever SO Cute mom and dad when they were here for their 50th anniversary gift from a few of us kids.
And then there's the trio's Pic, from Easter this year.

"They Just Fell Down!"

Ok, the kid's were all outside playing (my trio, and Lynn's kids). Lynn and I were making lunch or something (we were in the kitchen/dining room area) and she looked out the back door and said "what are they all doing?" I said "what?" and she said "they are all, well, most all, standing around looking at something!" So I went over to where she was standing and looked out the window, but what I saw was something totally different. I said "what in the WORLD?"
Lynn: "what?"
Me: "WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?!?!"
Lynn: "what?!"
Me: "What!?! Abbey!?!? What in the WORLD?"
By this time I had made it to the door, and yelled out and said "Abbey, what in the world are you doing?"
I could hear Lynn in the background laughing her 'precious pup' laugh. I was about to bust a gut myself I must say.
Four of the kids are standing around looking at something, and Abbey is standing all on her own by the swings, with her shorts and panties down around one ankle!!!!!!!!!!!
I said "Abbey! Why in the World are your pants down?"
She said "they fell down!"
We're still not sure why. Or what happened. Other than there is a potty chair out there, and I'm thinking she was getting ready to go potty, then got distracted watching whatever the other kids were watching, and forgot what she was doing! It was SO funny. She was just standing there pretty as you please, with her shorts around her ankle........ha ha ha ha

Out Of Control!

The kid's were watching a Sponge Bob video, and Bob was really tired and seeing everyone as a Crabby Patty. LOL, but at one point, when there was Crabby Patty's everywhere, Dylan said "Mom! They are Out Of Control!!"
Man they crack me up.
I'll have to put a pic up, but we got a new blow up pool for the back yard. The kid's have been having so much fun in it. It's Been SO HOT. I'm really going to get in there with them one day soon.
Our neighbor, Jennifer, and her little boy, Ryan, came over to swim with them today. We had a lot of fun. The kids all got cranky, and we had to cut it short though, so we'll have to do it again one day soon.
Abbey started her dance class tonight BUT, when we got there, the instructor "wasn't feeling well" so we paid for our six week class, then did nothing. I wasn't too pleased. Oh well. Abbey and I went for Ice cream instead. The boys were very upset that they don't get to dance yet. But I told them they have to start wearing underpants like big boys ALL of the time, not just sometimes before they can dance. So, maybe that will be an incentive to start wearing undies all the time like Big BOYS.......However, Abbey and Dylan both say that they don't want to be big, EVER........They want to stay little and stay home. aaawwww. Trevor however, wants to be BIG BIG BIG...heehee

Who Made This???

Before I get to the meaning of the title, I'll tell you a little about our day. It was SO stinkin hot out today, we really didn't feel like doing much. At one point, before nap, the trio decided to all be "jungle boys" and "jungle girl" and run around the house in their underwear yelling and jumping and climbing. ha ha
Then we took the show out to the back yard, for some "sprinkler action" and mommy even got in with them. Eventually, daddy even joined us! We had a ton of fun, and took some great pictures!!
Tonight we had movie night at church. The kids and I went over. Now, I must say, that Brenda M and I have been working on getting a garage sale together, so our newly cleaned garage, looks very cluttered right now. On our way out the back door through the garage, Dylan stopped on the steps and said in a shocked voice "Mommy!! Who DID this MESS????" I about fell over laughing. and he said "Clean it UP!" He cracks me up.
Tonight was another Aaaaawwww moment with Trevor. I had already prayed with both boys, and they decided they needed to try to go potty, and then back to bed again. I was really ready for some quiet time. Daddy was getting ready to read, so I was leaving the room, to go pray with Abbey and tuck her in too. As I was shutting the boys' door, Trevor said "mom, Wait!" I said "what Trevor" thinking, 'come on,not the potty again." and he said "I love you mom."
aaawwwww
Now to the title. When we were leaving the fellowship hall after the movie tonight, I heard Abbey ask me something but really didn't pay much attention at first. When I asked her what, and turned to look at her, she was standing there intently admiring a beautiful rose bush beside the building, and she asked me with awe and wonder in her voice, "Mom, who made this?"
After I caught my breath, I told her "God did honey." She gave me a look like 'well, He did a good job.' Oh, my, these babies God has given me. Could I be any more blessed???? I really don't think so :)

Meeting With Heather

Today we went to meet Heather, Gavin, Garrett and Claire in Lima. It was a good time. H and I didn't really get to talk too much, with all the kids, but it was good to get together. We decided to leave the kids at home next time, so we can just meet the two of us. The kid's all had fun together, and we drew lots of attention. LOL
I was SO proud of Abbey on the way home. She doesn't like to go in potty's that aren't "our potty's" so she wouldn't go when we were out. However, on the way home on the expressway, she screamed because she was about to go in her pants. So, I pulled way off the road, and got out the little portable potty I just bought at the store last week ( best investment in a long long time) opened the front and back passenger side doors. and put her on the potty. She told me to Leave!! so I went over by the boys and talked while she pooped and peed. Now, I'm SO proud, cuz she has this habit of saying she has to go, then if she doesn't like WHERE she has to go, she won't go, and then ends up peeing her pants. But she was just as comfy as can be going on the side of the road on that little potty. I was so proud.
Anyway, when we got home, we tried to find some fire-flys. We saw a bunch of them along side the road on the way home, but not many in our yard or the church yard. They were so cute. Whispering, and Dylan carrying the cup while we all looked around in the dark...I promised that tomorrow we'd take a walk and go look again.
OH, and one more thing. Earlier today, I had them take a little nap before we went to meet Heather and the kids. They had just each had a drink after playing outside, and Abbey said her "belly was full, and sick" so I told her "well, you need to lay down and take a nap, and it will feel better." So, she went in to take a nap, and then told me she wanted Trevor to give her a kiss. So, he came in and kissed her, and then he rubbed her hair, and said "it's ok, you just lay down, you'll feel better. It's ok" It was so cute. He's become such a little caretaker lately. He's always watching out for me and his brother and sister anymore. It's so cute. I guess all his hospital experiences have "growed him up" a bit maybe. :(

Swimming!!

Hey, we finally went to the "Kitty Cat Pool" LOL aka the Kiddie Pool.
They had a blast!! Sarah was with us, and her and a friend took the boys into the big pool a little bit too. But they had a great time in the kiddie pool.
At one point, the boys were having a good ole time making their swim trunks get "puffy" in the water as they sat down in it.
Dylan shouted out, "Mom, my butt's gettin big!" HA HA
Me and another lady there with her little boy, started laughing. I said "well honey, mommy has that problem too, but it has nothing to do with the swimming pool water!"

"Daddy will take care of You!"

I'm feeling pretty crappy today. My friends Brenda and Alissa came today, to help get my garage sale stuff together, and clean the basement. I thought maybe I was hungry, and too hot or something. I just felt yucky, and really shakey, so we went downtown to get something to eat.
Well, the restaraunt was cool, in more ways than one. Couzins now has a play area in the back for kids. So the kids really enjoyed it. But lunch didn't seem to help me any. I couldn't finish it. I just felt like Pukeing. So, we went to the car, and of course, they didn't want to go home yet, they wanted to play somewhere. I told them "you guys, mommy feels really yucky, and needs to go home and take a nap or something. Ok?" Trevor said "ok mom. Mom?" "yes, honey" I said"
Trevor said "Daddy will take care of you mommy. Let's go home"
aaaawwwww.....My sweet sweet boy.

One A Day

No matter how many times I repeat the word "vitamin," every day, Trevor asks for his "bitavin" LOL.
Well, at least he likes them, right? Abbey refuses to take hers. Any ideas? It's the chewable kind.

Having Freinds

Today, the trio had some friends come and play. Luke Zachrich from church, and his cousin Zoe. They were all excited, but we had a few probs with sharing. They are so used to having each other, and knowing who plays with what and so on, that it was hard for them to share with another almost 4 year old. They did pretty well when my friend Lynn and her kids were here, but maybe because the "almost 4 year old" in that set of kids is a girl, maybe made a difference?? I dunno. Anyway, it was good for them regardless. Hopefully Luke and Zoe can come over one day next week again and play. They are looking forward to their birthday. That's all they're talking about right now. It should be a fun one!

Don't Wanna Be Big!

Just had to share this one. This is my second post tonight, but earlier we were talking about Birthdays and Armpit hairs (don't ask) but both things led to the "getting big" conversation. I went later to help Abbey get her PJ's on, and she told me "Mom, I don't want to get big and go away anywhere, I want to stay little and stay with you."
:( aaaaawwwwww

Rapper Boy.....and Tired Tootsies!!

LOL, today the five of us went to the zoo. On our way there, someone said something, and I said "what the?!" And Dylan for some reason just said "WORD"
HA HA HA, Dave and I just cracked up, and were like "where did that come from?"
We had a good time. It was hot, and crowded, but fun.
They had their first Cotton Candy, and Dylan got brave enough to hug the Tiger (the one with the person inside the costume heehee) before we left. I knew he really wanted to, but was afraid when we went in. But on the way out,he didn't want to leave the thing!!!
They all did really good at holding hands, and not getting too cranky.
OH, but before we left, Trevor wanted daddy to hold him because his "tootsies were too tired." he said. ha ha ha

Out of the Mouths Of Babes.......

A few days ago, a good friend of ours from church died. Today, Father's Day, was the funeral. Last night, the boys were all worked up and didn't want to settle down to sleep, so Dave took his sleeping bag in their room, and slept with them. He told them "Remember Larry, the "coffee guy" (because Larry let Trevor drink his coffe when he was at our house)?" And the boys said "Yeah!"
Dave said "well, he's in Heaven with Jesus now, which is good, but Ruth and Anita are very sad because they miss him.....So, boys, lets pray for Ruth and Anita, ok?"
So, Dylan went first and Dave said he prayed for almost a full minute, then he finally heard Amen!
Then Trevor said "Trevors turn dad!" and he prayed much the same as Dylan had. However, he stopped before the Amen, and said "hey dad" and Dave told him, "Trevor, honey, your praying, finish praying first." and Trev said "no, hey dad!" so Dave said "what?" And Trevor asked, "Is Larry doing this?" and in the dark of night, Dave heard his two little hands start to clap...................
After Dave wiped the tears from his eyes, he said "yes, honey, Larry is doing a lot of clapping right now."

Growing Boys!!!

Wow, well, today Brenda M. and I were working on Garage Sale stuff, and Alissa watched the kids. It was nearing Lunch Time, and I heard Dylan repeating "I want Sketti!!" To Alissa. When he saw me, he practically begged for it! I think that's the first time one of my kids had a "craving." I didn't have enough spaghetti noodles to make spaghetti,so I opened some cans of beefaroni. He LOVED it. He absolutely scarfed the first bowl, and when I asked him if he wanted more he said "yeah" as he was digging the last noodle out of the bowl with his fingers and eating it!! And yes, I did feed them breakfast. He ate TWO waffles!!!
Later, they ended up downstairs where Brenda and I were working, and found Daves hand weights. Dave and I were in the dining room. He went to the top of the stairs and I hear "oh, wow, buddy, careful!!!" and then "ok, thanks" and here he comes with a TEN POUND hand weight, and looked at me, and said "Trevor just carried this one handed up the stairs to give to me!!!" Now, that my friends, is a STRONG boy. ha ha ha

Cast Off!!

Trevor got his cast off for good today!! Yippee!! His little arm looks so white and scrawny! heehee but he's loving having it off.
I took all three kids, and then we went to lunch at Wendy's, and then to the grocery store. They did really well.
For some reason, the boys (especially Dylan) have decided that they are afraid of the dark. I don't know what the deal is with that. I put a night light in their room a few nights ago, and that did the trick for a night or two.
Then one night , we lost electricity, so it was REALLY dark and QUIET, so I put Abbey in their room, and layed in Dylans bed to get them all to settle.
For a couple of nights, everyone has been fine. But tonight as I type, they are ALL crying. UGH......Any ideas anyone???
The night the electricity went out, and we all layed in the boys' room, I waited until it got all quiet, and then made a noise with my mouth, and said "Oh, TREVOR! quit farting!" and they were cracking up. Then everyone was like "me now mom, me now" so I kept doing it to everyone. It was funny. We were like a bunch of teenagers laying around in the dark at a sleepover, just being silly.
WELL, today while we were walking down the Milk aisle in the store, and all of a sudden really loud Abbey does the noise thing, and says "ah mom, quit Farting!!!"
It was funny, but I told her that's only funny at home, and not in the store. ha ha ha
The boys are FINALLY doing better at the potty thing. They're really trying. They get a jelly bean or some other peice of candy if they go, or at least try to go. And they are really trying. So HOPEFULLY, by the time they turn FOUR, they will be fully trained! sheesh!
Things are going pretty great all in all. Gotta go check on the munchkins.

Know What Is Hurt, Before You Offer To Kiss It!!! LOL

Tonight, Abbey didn't want to go to sleep (as normal) and I went in to her room for the umpteenth time to tell her to settle, and she said "but mom, I got Hurt!"
I said, "Ok, where, I'll kiss it, then you go to sleep!" She got up on all fours and turned around so that her but was pointed up to my face!!! ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing)
We (me and the kids) water flowers together everyday. We each have a watering can. As we were walking out the door, I poured a little trickle of water on her head because she wasn't moving out of my way. She said "MOM, I'm not a flower pot! I'm just an Abbey!" HA HA HA

Swimming Pool

The kid's and I took a walk tonight. We heard a baseball game going on at the community park, so cut through some yards to go watch, but the game had just ended. :(
BUT, we went over by the library and played on the swings, and then checked out the community pool! I know that they don't allow floaty devices, so I thought that stunk, and have never taken them to the pool. BUT, tonight, for the first time in almost our 3 years here, ha ha, I noticed that they have a kiddie pool! So, we went and checked it out, and it's only 1 foot deep! That would be fun and they wouldn't NEED floaty devices. It's only 1.50 for the kids' to go swimming, so I think we'll go up sometime REALLY soon. Maybe even tomorrow!
I talked to the girl that was working there, and as we were getting ready to leave, and Dylan said "No, I want to see the Kitty Cat pool!" The girl and I were cracking up. She said "that just made my day, that was the funniest thing I've heard all day!" I told Dylan "Honey, it's not a Kitty Cat pool, it's a Kiddie Pool, a pool for Kids!" ROFL

The Movie Was Fun!!!

Well, we went to see Madagascar last night, and it was a hoot! We had a lot of fun. It was a cute movie. The Lion in the movie was shot with a tranquilizer at one point, and was "tripping" so when Trevor, who was sitting on my lap, asked what was happening, I whispered that "alex is tripping."
Then a few minutes later, it happened again. Then Trevor said OUT LOUD "that lion just keeps tripping and tripping and tripping."
HA HA HA it was so funny.
We were ALL really ready for bed when we got home though.
Sarah went with us, and when she left Trevor was so sad about it. He cried and said "I want my Sarah!"
Everyone went to bed and to sleep pretty quickly. Abbey and Dylan just loved the movie, and can't wait to go see another one.

The Start

Oh, there is just SO much I need to be keeping track of, that I decided to start this so that I can write it down in the kid's letters later.
Trevor is still in an arm cast, but a short one. He should be getting it off next week. He's been complaining a lot about his "legs hurting" or "being tired" so I took him to the dr. They said it's probably just growing pains, but that I did the right thing by bringing him in. The other day, he fell for no reason, and that worried me. I'm just supposed to look for certain things that if they change or appear, I should take him back in. While we were in the waiting room though, he came over to me and said "mom, you're my friend!"
What a sweety.
I gave the boys both haircuts the other day. I haven't used the electric clippers for a while and they don't remember them. So they were afraid of it. Trevor threw a FIT...A MAJOR one, and screamed at me that I "broke his hair!!" It broke MY heart! I usually just use scissors. Looks like I need to go back to doing that so I don't traumatize my boys!!
Abbey is potty trained and doing GREAT. I'm trying so hard with the boys, but they just aren't interested at ALL.
I know there's some cute things I need to write in here, but can't remember right now. So, I may just come in and write some little notes to myself once in a while.
OH, I'm going to see if I can become a board member on the Art's Council here in town. I'm really pumped about that. They're bringing dance to Grand Rapids, and Abbey is going to take ballet classes. WOOHOO...... I'm so excited about it. So is Abbey.
