Kid's, er um Dylan Says the Darndest Things!

First of all, I need to tell you that my kids LOVE glow sticks. They particularly love the bracelet ones. As a matter of fact, they ask for one every night, it's sort of like their night lights. (I can buy a pack of 15 of them for $1 at the Dollar Tree)
Dylan likes to be "tickle rubbed" with his. I'll rub it up and down his arm and over his face, and it tickles, yet feels good, ya'll know what I mean? Sort of like when kids like getting their backs rubbed lightly. Anyway, my arm was getting tired last night of doing this, so I quit, but then I absentmindedly was rubbing it against my hand and watching TV. All of a sudden, Dylan looks at me, looks at the glow stick and says "Mom, get your own!" LOL
THEN tonight, Trevor was talking about how the medicine I gave him last night didn't help his stuffy nose. I told him I'd have to give it to him earlier tonight, so hopefully he'd sleep better. Dylan asked what we were talking about and I told him that we were talking about getting Trevor's nose unstuffed. And he said "well, mines not stuffy," as I was leaving the room, and I said "I know, we're talking about Trevor's nose." and he followed me and said "well, mom, if mine gets stuffy, I just pick my stuffy out!!" and demonstrated this by picking his nose. I just laughed, and because it's a lost cause telling that boy to NOT pick his nose, I just said - "well, just make sure you wash your hands when you're done," and thought the conversation was over. OH NO. Dylan took his finger out and said "but mom, there's no stuffy on it!!" And I said, "Ok, well if you get some stuffy on your finger, make sure you wash it!" ROFL

It's Been A While

Hey all. If you are paying any attention, you'll know that I've not written in a while. A long while. Look below once in a while, and if I remember something that happened or the date, I may add it. Any-hoo, We've been keeping VERY busy. We joined COSI, and have been there recently to their 10th Birthday party (me and the kids) it was SOOOO crazy that day. But I met a friend, and we chatted for a while in the kiddy room and exchanged phone numbers before the day was over. So that was good. It was all good, just crazy, chaotic.
Oh, I have to tell you this. Trevor yelled and yelled for me today, and when I went upstairs to see what the problem was, he said he needed me to "wipe his butt!," and I said "Trevor, you just went this morning and did that yourself, why do you need me to do it now?" and he said "well mom, I wanted to share my butt with you!" ROFLMBO. What a goof!!

We are planning a Vacation Bible School of course, for this summer, but we are also changing up our Children's Sunday School program. It's going to be awesome!!
We will have FIVE rooms. They will learn the same lesson 5 Sundays in a row. In one room, they will learn by listening and watching a drama play out in the "tabernacle room" They will even have to take off their shoes and get into a Bible Costume and sit on a pillow or rug while they listen and watch.
Another room will be the "music and puppet room." This room is going to be all decorated up with different Bible stories on the wall like Jonah and the Whale, Jesus calling the disciples from their boat to be "fishers of men" Noah's Ark, Jesus walking on water. Different things where God/Jesus called people to do something for Him, Ministry! This is where we will worship him and learn the story in a different way.
A "craft room" where they will do crafts that pertain to the story at hand. A "Lab" where they will do either a computer game/quiz/etc or a science experiment that will go along with the lesson. AND a "Movie Theatre Room" where they will get to eat popcorn and watch a movie about the lesson. The rooms are all getting painted and decorated soooooo neat. It will be really cool!
I'm excited for all of this.
I'm gonna have to go, everyone is erupting. UGH. Another Day In The Life of TAD!!!
